Do you want your child to play high school or college sports or just have fun?
Unless your child athlete is gifted, it takes dedication, difficult decisions, and a lot of work by not only the child, but the parents as well. To play high school or college soccer, the parents need to seek every opportunity possible for training, practice, touches, guidance, and personal development of their child.
My daughter Alex started with recreation soccer at age 5 and then progressed to travel soccer by U8. About seven years ago, my 11 year old daughter met Coach Jen at a training practice where Coach Jen was instructing the goalkeeper training. Unfortunately, we lived too far to train all year long with Jen's girls soccer teams. However, in the off-season, we always reached out to Coach Jen for supplemental training and games. In the summer, Alex played on Jen's summer select teams. During winter break, there was training and we headed to a tournament in Florida.
Most hometown club teams do not travel for weekend stays. These trips are not only fun for the family, but also provide your child with travelling far from home. This is to bring a different level of competition for your child as well as getting your child out of his/her comfort zone. This is not only important for high school/college soccer, but also as a life skill. Coach Jen's club provides these important opportunities for developing your child's life skills.
Jen also hires and maintains quality coaches. Many are college athletes who can understand and relate to your child, and there were also seasoned professional coaches my daughter had the opportunity to train under at Jen's Elite Training. One of them was a seasoned ODP coach and another was a professional player from Jamaica. All of Jen's coaches had provided the proper support and enlightenment to further Alex's aspirations to play Division 1 women's soccer.
Now, my testimonial where Coach Jen cares! For the past two years, Alex was not able to play summer select and winter tournaments with Jen's team due to a rule with her club and the coach not providing Alex player's pass. This past summer, my daughter needed to do her summer packet for weight training and running as she needed to pass some tests to make the team the very first day. In Division 1 sports, the athletes are expected to be fit on the very first day. In early July 2019, we reached out to Coach Jen and she immediately invited my daughter to come run and practice with her oldest girl's soccer team. Coach Jen gave Alex some guidance to pass these tests.
Alex did pass her test on the first day of college practice on August 7th, 2019, and even Coach Jen followed up afterwards. As an old wise soccer coach told me years ago, it will be the coach who will ruin it for your child and you need to find coaches who care. Coach Jen and her staff care.
Since joining JET, our daughter has had significant improvements in both her technical skills and self-confidence. She’s also become a more complete and versatile player, recently adding a new position. We’ve also been impressed with the access JET has to college coaches and have appreciated how many have come to visit and train with her team. Playing for JET has certainly been a good decision!

My daughter has played 5 summer seasons with JET and comes back every year due to the combination of well coached competitive teams and great camaraderie with the coaches and other players.

Jen has been absolutely fantastic over the years. My daughter started with JET many years ago and played on JET Power for a couple seasons before moving on to pursue dance. She has graduated from college now and is a junior coach for JET Galaxy. My son has also trained with Jen and her staff. I would recommend Jen and her team to anyone interested in improving their soccer skills. She offers different clinics year round that fit into our busy schedules. Five stars and two thumbs up!
I cannot say enough about our wonderful experiences over the past four years with JET! My two kids have used JET for everything from clinics and individual training to Summer Elite teams. I have watched my children grow in their potential because of what they learned from the trainers and coaches at JET. Every single person I have encountered has been both professional and wonderfully kind.
My daughter has been with JET for two years. We couldn't be happier. Jen Besler and her coaches are dedicated, knowledgeable and determined to offer the best training and playing schedule there is. We also love the exposure we are getting from colleges through the Jet program. We highly recommend JET.
